GAIN EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR: The Autocrat’s Playbook and Russian Disinformation

Kathryn Rusk, the founder of the Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN), will first speak briefly about what steps autocrats typically implement in order to gain control, including the scapegoating of vulnerable communities, placing loyalists in key positions, misrepresenting the truth, and degrading the institutions that preserve democratic principles. Jim Miller Jr., who has worked as a global political reporter for over 15 years for numerous publications, will present information regarding how Russian disinformation has affected political landscapes and outcomes around the globe, including in the United States.
