
Tell Me a Story of the Unexpected – Storytelling Night

Join us for a night of live storytelling and community.
Tell Me a Story will take place in the Meetinghouse building at the MAC on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm. We expect eight to ten 5-min stories to be presented live in front of the audience.
Canned drinks and snacks to be available during the event.
All are welcome. Our events promote the inherent worth of every being, strive to cultivate hope, love and unity, to foster inclusion, solidarity and community care.
Tickets: $5 at the door, Free for children under 12
Rights: We have no claim over the works written and performed during the live storytelling even. We are going to take photos, which will help us in our future promotional efforts for similar Meetinghouse Arts Center events, so if you agree to participate, you agree to have your image used for this purpose.
- Stories should be first-person, 4-5 minutes, and told without notes.
- Submit a story for consideration by sending a 4-5 minute voice recording (you can use the Voice Memo app on your phone or any other recording method) or a pitch to tellmeastorymac@gmail.com. Include your full name, title of story and a phone number where you can be reached.
- Submission deadline is Wednesday, April 2, 4PM.
- If your story is selected, you must come to the rehearsal on Thursday, April 3, 5pm to 7pm (same location: First Parish Northboro, 40 Church St, Northborough MA)
- Stories must comply with our values: respecting the inherent worth of every being, striving to cultivate hope, love and unity, to foster inclusion, diversity, solidarity and community care. We won’t accept stories that cross boundaries of tolerance.
